FIRST WMW SESSION IN VIETNAM A SUCCESS!
Reaching out to those with a passion in the electronic music industry
With a heartfelt welcome from Brunei during the first WMW Session, the team took no time in expanding their horizons to their next region within Southeast Asia. Destination #2 for WMW Session: Hanoi, Vietnam. November 11, 2018 saw the flawless collaboration between Wired Music Week alongside Hanoi’s most happening club 1900 Le Theatre.
WMW Session shares the same values of Wired Music Week – to lay the foundation for a sustainable career in the modern music scene. This initiative serves as a one-stop hub for music enthusiasts to learn, network, develop, and advance as a community. The campaign was created in the mind of developing a solid platform to connect the Western culture to Asian cultivation within the music industry.
The direction of WMW Session Vietnam drew a huge turnout the day itself, as it was believed that the core WMW team shared the same sensibility with all the participants. Those who attended the sessions saw a great opportunity for networking and understanding deeper in terms of how the music industry is evolving and ways to adapt in the current scene.
“WMW Session Vietnam was an amazing experience for the whole organizing team. Both attendance and participation for each panel far exceeded our expectations. Everyone was always tuned in and eager to listen and learn from the artists and speakers. We hope WMW Session Vietnam inspired those young and new musicians to realize what they can do and connect with each other to help one another grow,” said Dong Nguyen, Co-Founder of Loop Central.
The lineup of WMW Session Vietnam’s day-time conference covered many topics, including:
After a rather compact, yet productive WMW Session day-conference, everyone was ready to let loose and join in the fun of the night-festival. Brooks and Myrne each took turns headlining the 1900 Le Theatre stage. It was just amazing to see how people from different cultures and background were able to come together and sing the tunes of lyrics from a foreign language.
We hope to see Wired Music Week expand even further in the future, bringing hope and opening more doors of opportunity to music enthusiasts from all around the world.
